Welcome to Bookish Things By Tay ("we", "us", "our"). Bookish Things By Tay operates this website and online store using Shopify, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services (collectively, the “Services”) to provide you with a curated shopping experience.
These Terms of Service ("Terms"), together with any policies referenced herein (including our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy), set out your rights and responsibilities when using our Services.

   By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or territory of residence, or that you have consented to any minor dependants using the Services under your supervision.
   To use our Services, you may be required to provide personal information including your name, email address, billing, payment, and shipping details. You warrant that all information provided is accurate, current, complete, and that you have the legal right to provide it.
   You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Accounts may not be transferred, sold, or assigned to another person.

2. OUR PRODUCTS
   We take care to accurately display and describe our products. However, colours and product appearance may vary depending on your device and screen settings.
   Many of our products are handmade or made-to-order. Minor variations in colour, size, or finish are normal and are not considered defects.
   All product descriptions, availability, and pricing are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time or limit quantities on a case-by-case basis.

3. ORDERS
   By placing an order, you make an offer to purchase. Orders are not accepted until payment has been received and we have confirmed acceptance.
   We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, including suspected fraudulent orders or orders placed for resale without permission. If an order is cancelled or changed, we will attempt to notify you using the contact details provided.
   Once an order has been accepted, cancellation requests may not be accommodated.
   Returns, refunds, and exchanges are handled strictly in accordance with our Refund Policy and Australian Consumer Law.
   You warrant that purchases are for personal or household use only and not for commercial resale.

4. PRICING & PAYMENT
   All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
   Prices, promotions, and discounts may change without notice. The price charged will be the price shown at checkout at the time of purchase.
   Shipping costs or other charges (if applicable) are additional unless expressly stated.
   You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment and account information. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and that all charges will be honoured.

5. SHIPPING & DELIVERY
   Most items are handmade or made-to-order. Our usual processing time is 2–3 business days unless otherwise stated.
   Delivery timeframes provided at checkout are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to shipping carriers, weather events, peak periods, or circumstances outside our control.
   All orders are shipped with delivery insurance through Australia Post. In the event an order is lost or damaged in transit, we will work with you and Australia Post to investigate and resolve the issue in accordance with the carrier’s insurance and investigation process.

6. RETURNS & REFUNDS (AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW)
   Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
   You are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
   We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
   If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 28 days of receiving your order at admin@bookishthingsbytay.com.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
   All content on this website—including text, images, graphics, logos, designs, and product artwork—is owned by Bookish Things By Tay or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
   You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit any content without our prior written consent.
   Bookish Things By Tay and related branding are trademarks of Bookish Things By Tay. Shopify and related marks are trademarks of Shopify Inc. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.

8. OPTIONAL & THIRD-PARTY TOOLS
   We may provide access to third-party tools or links that we do not control or monitor. These tools are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties.
   Your use of third-party websites or tools is entirely at your own risk, and you should review their terms and policies before use.

9. RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY
   This store is powered by Shopify, which provides the e‑commerce platform enabling us to sell our products.
   All purchases are made directly with Bookish Things By Tay. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of sales between you and us, including product quality, delivery, or refunds.
   You expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from any claims arising from transactions made through our store.

10. FEEDBACK & REVIEWS
    If you submit reviews, comments, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free right to use, reproduce, and share this content for marketing or promotional purposes.
    You warrant that your feedback does not infringe the rights of any third party and is not unlawful, misleading, or offensive.

    You must not use the Services:
